Located 60 km north-east of Brussels, this circuit was inaugurated in 1965, it is relatively fast but its setting is quite sad and does not present any character.
Zolder experienced some tragedies. In 1981, a mechanic from the Osella team was killed in the pits by Reutemann's Williams due to the narrowness of the pitlane. In 1982, during qualifying, Gilles Villeneuve was killed while driving his Ferrari.
