Johnny Boyd était un pilote de courses américain.

Natif de Fresno, en Californie, il pilota dans les championnats AAA et USAC ChampCar de 1954 à 1956, enchaînant 56 départs avec les 500 miles d'Indianapolis.

Il finira dans les 10 premiers à 31 reprises, signant un podium lors des 500 miles d'Indianapolis 1958 (et hors F1 second à Milwaukee en 1959).

Il restera dans les mémoires comme un pilote régulier mais perdant...
Johnny meurt en 2003 d'un cancer dans sa ville natale, à l'âge de 77 ans.
