La Ferrari 126C2 est la première voiture à châssis monocoque en aluminium de la Scuderia. Elle comporte de part et d’autre des jupes en uréthane. La boite de vitesse, montée en transversal, a était encore réduite. Cette voiture fut endeuillée par la mort de Gilles Villeneuve, et du grave accident de Didier Pironi la même saison…
