Located 12 km south of Rouen, it was inaugurated in 1950. Its 5.1 km route follows national and departmental roads, which gives it a rapid character. The Nouveau Monde corner is the most spectacular place on the circuit.
In 1955, it was made even faster by the addition of three main straight lines bringing the length of its route to 6,542 km.
After the death of Jo Schlesser in 1968, this circuit was no longer used for Formula 1, but it continued to host competitions until 1993.
