Located in the Monsanto Park on the outskirts of Lisbon, this circuit hosted a single World Championship race in 1959.
It was made up of fast bends and took up part of Portugal's first motorway, which posed a problem for the organisation of future races. The circuit was considered dangerous due to its many obstacles, including telegraph poles and trees lining the track. The race was scheduled for late afternoon to avoid the heat.
