Located near the city of Lusail, Qatar, it was built in just under a year, and its first official race took place in 2004 with the Qatar Motorcycle Grand Prix. The circuit is mainly known for hosting MotoGP races, but has also been the venue for various international and local motor competitions.
It circuit features a combination of long straights and tight turns. What sets it apart in particular is that, in 2008, it was the first MotoGP circuit to be equipped for night racing.
