Located on the streets of the city, it is undoubtedly the most successful American street circuit. Despite the bumps, manhole covers and concrete walls, the route is interesting because of its very fast turns and very slow chicanes.
Deemed too fast, a chicane appeared in the middle of the main straight in 1982. The following year the route was modified in its slower part but lost its interest. FOCA asked too much of the organizer who went to CART, much more appreciated in the United States.
