Located in the western suburbs of Berlin, this circuit was inaugurated on September 25, 1921. The letters A.V.U.S. stand for "Automobil Verkehr und Übung Strass" (Automobile Traffic and Practice Road).
Its layout is quite simplistic, as it follows the parallel lanes of a highway, connected by a loop on one side and, on the other side, a 45° banked brick curve.
