The others models
La première voiture de British American Racing, la PR01 (pour Pollock et Reynard), fut un échec retentissant. Conçue avec l'aide du constructeur anglais Adrian Reynard, elle devait décrocher le titre dès sa première année...elle ne marqua aucun point.
Pourtant, cette monoplace semblait réussie: un design simple, mais soigné, une nouvelle boîte de vitesse longitudinale made in Reynard et le V10 Supertec, ex-Renault.
Un ensemble correct au premier abord.
Mais si la PR01 montra une certaine rapidité en quelques occasions, elle se révéla surtout d'une fiabilité catastrophique ! Jacques Villeneuve dut ainsi attendre la douzième manche à Spa pour voir le drapeau à damiers...De plus, il était évident que le vieux V10 Renault, même rebadgé, n'avait plus aucun avenir, et Craig Pollock se tourna vers Honda pour l'an 2000.
